The Brisbane Bullets would like to sincerely thank Chief Executive Officer Peter McLennan for his significant contribution to the Club, tendering his resignation after three years of service.
McLennan arrived at the Bullets in 2020 after holding roles at two other elite Brisbane sporting organisations. Shortly after taking on the role Covid hit, however McLennan was dedicated to ensuring the Bullets remained on a positive trajectory.
Brisbane Bullets owner Jason Levien thanked McLennan for his dedicated service to the Club.
“The Bullets organisation greatly appreciates Peter for his leadership and contributions to the Club over the past three years,” Levien said.
“During his tenure as CEO, Peter transformed Nissan Arena into the best game day atmosphere in the NBL and has also been focused on laying the groundwork for the Bullets future home.
“We understand Peter feels he has another opportunity that he cannot pass up and we wish him continued success.
“We intend to keep Peter involved with the Club and he remains a member of the Bullets family.”
McLennan said he was grateful for the opportunity to hold such a prominent position at the Bullets and acknowledged the challenge of making this decision.
“It’s been one of the most difficult decisions I’ve had to make. My three years with this great Club has thrown plenty of challenges, but the position of the Club both on and off the court is now primed for future success and I’m proud of the role I’ve played in that,” McLennan said.
“While I have an exciting new challenge ahead of me, I hope to stay involved with the Club in some capacity, as there is much work to be done around building a legacy for the Bullets regarding a future permanent home for the Club.
“I want to sincerely thank our owners, staff, corporate partners and of course our wonderful members and fans for their support over the past three years.”
