Beenleigh State High School students with a passion for basketball are about to level up, thanks to a new partnership with the Brisbane Bullets designed to fuel their growth on and off the court.
Home to nearly 2,000 students in Logan City, Beenleigh State High School is passionate about empowering young people through sport, with a strong focus on personal development and community connection.
Through the Partner Schools’ Program, the Brisbane Bullets will deliver skill and character-based programs to foster participation, education and inclusivity. The partnership will help to promote healthy lifestyles and teamwork.
Students will have access to Brisbane Bullets Coaching and Development onsite during team and class training times, providing high-performance coaching to students and mentoring to Beenleigh State High School coaches.
Brisbane Bullets Community & Development Manager Oliver Reid is excited about the partnership and pleased to welcome Beenleigh State High School to the Brisbane Bullets community.
“We’re looking forward to creating meaningful opportunities for students and strengthening the Brisbane basketball community by giving back to our community and supporting our rising stars.”
Beenleigh State High School Principal Matt Morgan is pleased at the chance to grow the school's Basketball Program through the Bullets community and networks.
“Our staff and our students are looking forward to this amazing collaboration and the chance to learn from elite athletes and coaches and be part of a professional sporting environment.”
Brisbane Bullets CEO Malcolm Watts is thrilled to add another school to the Partner Schools’ Program.
“We’re thrilled to have the chance to share our passion and expertise in a way that will encourage participation, empower students and inspire the next generation.”
