Playbk Sports, Australia’s leading provider of bespoke eLearning and fitness technology solutions, has partnered with the Brisbane Bullets to create Bullets Assist, an innovative Learning Management System (LMS) designed to assist young athletes and educators in achieving success both on and off the court.
Set to launch in early 2025, Bullets Assist will deliver dynamic and accessible learning resources to educators and young athletes across Queensland, fostering skills, passion and holistic development both on and off the court.
The Bullets Assist platform is tailored to service two core groups, ensuring maximum impact:
- Queensland PE Teachers: The platform will provide professional development content focused on basketball coaching techniques, equipping teachers to deliver engaging and effect PE lessons. By fostering a love for basketball and physical activity, Bullets Assist supports educators in shaping healthier and more active communities.
- Emerging Basketballers (ages 14-18): Aspiring athletes will benefit from a range of bespoke courses designed to build well-rounded individuals. Modules on mental conditioning, nutrition, leadership, and physical fitness – combined with exclusive insights from Brisbane Bullets players and coaches – will prepare young athletes to excel both on and off the court.
Jon Shepherd, CEO and Co-founder of Playbk Sports, shared his enthusiasm for teaming up with the Bullets:
"At Playbk Sports, we believe in the power of sport to inspire and connect. With Bullets Assist we’re giving emerging basketballers the tools to grow—whether at school, at home, or on the court. This platform supports their holistic development, helping them reach their full potential in sport and life."
Mal Watts, CEO of the Brisbane Bullets, emphasised the value of the partnership:
"The Brisbane Bullets are committed to building the future of basketball. With Bullets Assist we’re connecting our expertise with the next generation of athletes and educators across Queensland, making basketball training and development accessible to everyone, no matter where they are."
Bridging Basketball’s Growth Across Queensland
By integrating professional basketball coaching techniques with a holistic development approach, Bullets Assist will provided a balanced learning experience for students and teachers. Combining face-to-face learning opportunities with cutting-edge digital resources, the platform ensures that basketball knowledge and skills can be developed and refined at all levels.
Work Underway for Early 2025 Release
The development already underway, Bullets Assist is on track for an early 2025 launch. This groundbreaking platform will help increase student participation in physical activity, enhance athletic performance, and foster a deeper love for basketball across Queensland.
