The Brisbane Bullets are excited to welcome Lual Diing as a development player for NBL23 with a club option in the second year.
The 23-year-old is currently playing NBL1 for the Northside Wizards. This season he’s averaging a double-double with 20.8ppg, 12.9rpg and 3.4apg, with a season high 28 points and 19 rebounds last round.
Prior to venturing up North, the 6’7 forward played with the Central District Lions in NBL1 Central where he averaged 18.8ppg and 10rpg.
General Manager of Basketball, Sam Mackinnon is pleased to welcome Lual into the Bullets organisation.
“Lual’s athleticism and length is ideal for the NBL and we will work closely with him to develop his perimeter skill set to allow him to play multiple positions in the future,” Mackinnon said.
Hostplus Head Coach, James Duncan looks forward to working with Lual ahead of NBL23.
“We’re excited about Lual’s potential and development. His length and versatility to defend multiple positions is critical for us. He’s eager to get to work and we’re happy to have him on board with the Bullets,” Duncan said.
Lual is excited to join the Bullets roster ahead of the season and is ready to make an impact.
“I’m excited to be part of the Bullets family and looking forward to competing and getting after it every day at practice,” Diing said.
“I’m eager to learn from vets like Jason Cadee and Nathan Sobey, guys who’ve had long NBL careers and also learning from a great coach in James Duncan. I can’t wait for pre-season to start!”
Lual Diing joins Nathan Sobey, Jason Cadee, Tyrrell Harrison, Tanner Krebs, DJ Mitchell, Harry Froling and Kody Stattmann on the Brisbane Bullets 2022/23 roster.
