Numerous Brisbane Bullets stars will be hitting the court in the QSL Finals this weekend, as the chase to the championship begins.
The Southern Districts Spartans are the most Bullets heavy squad playing this weekend, as Anthony Drmic, Callum Dalton, Tyrell Harrison and Tamuri Wigness will look to lead the Spartans over the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.
Drmic has been Southern Districts’ top offensive option this season, as he leads the team in scoring at 20.6 points per game. Dalton, who re-signed with Brisbane as a Development Player this week, has also had an impressive campaign, amassing 17.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Harrison (14.8 points, 8.9 rebounds) and Wigness (13.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists) also made strong contributions for the Spartans during the regular season.
Southern Districts battle Sunshine Coast on Saturday night at 7:00pm at Rowland Cowan Stadium.
In the other final this weekend, the Brisbane Capitals will face the Logan Thunder.
Jason Cadee of the Capitals will be the only current Bullet competing in the clash, and he is coming off a massive 47-point, 11-assist performance in the final game of the regular season.
Cadee has had a strong season for Brisbane, averaging 23.3 points, 6.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game.
The Capitals and Thunder will meet on Sunday night at 6:00pm at Auchenflower Stadium.
Awaiting the winners of this weekend’s finals are the RedCity Roar and Ipswich Force.
RedCity are led by Bullets Harry Froling and Verle Williams, while Nathan Sobey is coming off a stunning regular season for Ipswich.
