The Brisbane Bullets are pleased to announce that Jake Silverstein has acquired a significant stake in the Club, and welcome him as Co-Managing owner of the Bullets, further demonstrating the club’s commitment to building an internationally-respected basketball powerhouse in South East Queensland.
Silverstein, an accomplished global sports investor, is co-owner of Swansea City AFC (English Football Championship) and DC United (Major League Soccer). He will share responsibility for overseeing and operating the club with Co-Managing owner Jason Levien as part of their global sports, entertainment technology, media and real estate investment strategy.
Bullets CEO Peter McLennan welcomes Jake to the Club,
“Jake joining the Bullets ownership, alongside Jason Levien, Kevin Martin and our already impressive group of owners is a major coup for the Club."
"His passion for basketball, his experience as a sports club owner in multiple leagues around the world, and his vision for the future of the Brisbane Bullets and the NBL is incredibly exciting. Our ownership is totally aligned on what we want to build here in Brisbane, and they have already established a dynamic partnership in multiple ventures together. We couldn’t be more excited about where we are taking this Club.”
Jake Silverstein said,
“I believe we can make the Brisbane Bullets the premier international destination for aspiring basketball talent and a dominant force in the NBL. I am incredibly excited to further integrate the Club within the community and use the unique platform provided by professional sports to bring joy and pride to our fans.”
