The Brisbane Bullets can today confirm that Good Friday’s game against the South East Melbourne Phoenix at Nissan Arena has been postponed and will be moved to a later date.
Scheduling beyond Friday is being looked at by the NBL with a decision to be made in the near future.
The Bullets are currently in Wollongong ahead of tonight’s game against the Illawarra Hawks and will remain in NSW until further notice off the back of today’s news of a Brisbane lockdown.
CEO Peter McLennan sympathises with members and fans but we must abide by the Queensland Health guidelines put in place.
“These are extraordinary circumstances and whilst we are disappointed we aren’t able to welcome everyone to Nissan Arena on Friday, it is paramount that as a city we work together to get through this latest lockdown period without any major issues,” he said.
“I want to stress to our corporate partners and members that this game is postponed and we will look to have it moved to later in the season when we can have everyone back safely at Nissan Arena.
“We’re working closely with the NBL on how the immediate future looks for our team and we’re looking forward to getting them back to Brisbane as soon as we can.”
All ticket purchasers that currently hold a ticket for the Round 12 game against the Phoenix will be contacted directly via email by Ticketek shortly.
