The NBL has today announced changes to the opening round of the Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
Due to the current circumstances in Brisbane, the Bullets Round 1 opponent has been announced as TBC, with the match to be played on Saturday 16 January at the earlier time of 4:30pm (QLD time) at Nissan Arena.
CEO Peter McLennan understands the need to be able to adapt in the current climate.
“Under the current conditions, we understand the need to be flexible and able to adapt to schedule changes such as these,” McLennan said.
“First and foremost, Brisbane as a city needs to stay safe and get through this together, giving us every opportunity to host our season opener at Nissan Arena next Saturday afternoon.
“We thank and appreciate the ongoing support of our members, fans and corporate partners during this period and we look forward to seeing you at Nissan Arena as soon as we can.”
The NBL have scheduled all of the Round 1 games to be played in Queensland and South Australia, with further games to be announced on a week to week basis.
