HUNGRY JACK'S NBL ROUND 4
SOUTH EAST MELBOURNE PHOENIX 89 (Creek 31, Williams 11, Adnam 10, Te Rangi 10)
BRISBANE BULLETS 88 (Cadee 21, Johnson 15, Harrison 11, Baynes 11)
KEY MATCH UPS
Aron Baynes vs Alan Williams
The two big men will go head to head, with both teams looking to work the ball to their centres and play with a strong inside presence.
Williams is currently averaging 16.4ppg and 9 rpg, while Baynes is averging 11.4 ppg and 8.3 rpg. This will be a great match up between two physical bigs.
Jason Cadee vs Kyle Adnam
Jason has been having a strong season for the Bullets and steps up week after week, playing big minutes while the team have been down in numbers.
Both Jason and Kyle are talented guards who have the ability to make a big impact on each game they play in and will both need to step up with multiple players missing on their respective line-ups.
ON THE RECORD
The Bullets will be looking to turn things around after last weekend’s loss. This will start on the defensive end, where they will need to lift their intensity for the full forty minutes against an in form Phoenix roster.
Following last game Hostplus interim Head Coach Greg Vanderjagt said, “We lacked some intent defensively in terms of the physicality and willingness to do the things that are hard tonight.”
A positive that came out of last game was the introduction of Andrew White III who had solid performances for his first couple of games in Brisbane Bullets colours.
“Drew’s had a tough initiation to NBL basketball. But he’s a pro and a really good human being and I can’t speak highly enough of the guy.”
“He’s very intelligent and over the course of the next 13 games he can help us win basketball games,” Vanderjagt added.
