There were multiple Brisbane Bullets players competing in the NBL1 and overseas throughout the weekend.
In the NBL1 North Isaac White and the Mackay Meteors kept their undefeated start to the NBL1 North season going, defeating North Gold Coast on Friday night 99-83 followed by Gold Coast 103-98 on Saturday.
White had strong showings in both outings, with 15 points and 10 assists on Friday night and 23 points, six assists, four rebounds and four steals on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, Sam McDaniel and the Brisbane Capitals continued their winning streak, defeating the Sunshine Coast Phoenix 101-92 to make it four in a row.
McDaniel again starred for the Capitals, producing a double-double, with 26 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals.
The Southern District Spartans are starting to build some momentum, claiming their third win in a row against Northside Wizards, 105-87.
Bullets duo Mitch Norton and Tyrell Harrison were outstanding in the win for Southern Districts with Norton delivering 24 points, eight assists and six rebounds, and Harrison 23 points, eight boards and two steals.
Next up in round eight of the NBL1 North, McDaniel and the Brisbane Capitals play Cairns on Friday night while Norton, Harrison and the Spartans face Cairns and Isaac White and Mackay face Darwin on Saturday night.
In the NBL1 East on Saturday, Kye Savage and the Centre of Excellence (CoE) defeated Central Coast 96-89 at home. Savage had 10 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds.
The following day, CoE again flexed their muscles at home to the Illawarra Hawks with a 115-76 victory. Savage had 22 points, eight rebounds and two assists on 4/6 three-point shooting in the match.
The victory is the eighth in-a-row for the Centre of Excellence who are now 9-3 on the season. CoE, next face Penrith on Saturday.
In the NZNBL the Wellington Saints were defeated by the Canterbury Rams. Despite the loss, Tohi Smith-Milner had a strong outing finishing with 21 points and eight rebounds, while shooting an efficient 72% from the field. Next up, the Saints have a double-header in Round 10 facing Tauranga on Wednesday 29 May and Auckland on Saturday 1 June.
In France, Deng Adel and his side Boulazec were defeated by Vichy in the first leg of the semi-final. Boulazec will look to bounce back as the two sides face each other again on 29 May.
