The Brisbane Bullets have agreed to release Tristan Devers, with the 21-year-old continuing his basketball journey at the University of Washington Huskies.
Devers departs the Bullets after three seasons in blue and gold, during which he progressed from an emerging teenager into an established NBL contributor.
Having arrived ahead of NBL24 as one of Australia's brightest young prospects, Devers steadily earned a larger role within the Bullets program, culminating in a career-best NBL26 campaign.
He appeared in 29 games and averaged 4.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16 minutes per game while shooting 41 per cent from the field.
His season featured several standout performances, including a career-high 15 points in the Bullets' road victory over Perth in October before he added 12 points in fewer than 20 minutes against Adelaide in December.
A product of the Nunawading Spectres program, Devers represented Australia at the FIBA Under-17 World Cup and FIBA Under-16 Asia Cup before cutting his teeth in Brisbane.
Following three years of growth within the Bullets program, he now heads to the University of Washington Huskies to continue his development at the collegiate level.
Reflecting on his time in Brisbane, Devers credited the Club for helping shape the player and person he has become.
"Brisbane has been an amazing place for me to grow, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been afforded here,” he said.
"This Club has helped me grow on and off the court, and I'll always be thankful for the support I have received.
"I will carry great memories and valuable lessons forward from my time at the Bullets and look forward to following the club this season and beyond.”
The Brisbane Bullets are proud to have played a part in Tristan's development and wish him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter with the Huskies.
